Pageant's annual summer get together was held at Pippa & Ian's on Sunday 14th July.  It was our biggest ever such event - 63 Pageant members sat down to lunch and a further half dozen or so appeared at other times of the day. The weather was perfect and the lunch was, to quote a Gambian phrase, "very well received". Grateful thanks to Andrew & Kathy, Ann & Marjorie and Tina for help with the food, to Brian for his pre-party gardening assistance, to Tina with dealing with the money and to Carole, Ann and several others for washing up. Smiley came along to run the bar for us, which was a huge help, and Doreen had made 4 fabulous cushions to act as raffle prizes. Two pairs of the cushions were won by Sandra and Mike, and there were other raffle prizes of a glass decanter and some real Gambian bottled drinks, which were won by another Sandra and Richard respectively. Helen ran the raffle with her usual grace and charm and in total, from the raffle, table sales and the lunch we made £455.00. All in all, a very successful day...
