They took with them 64 mosquito nets, giving out half at Jarreng
and half at nearby Kanikunda, which is Wandifa's original home
village. The nets are always the most-purchased gifts these
days.

Pageant's Ethical Gifts of Mosquito Nets]
Both these villages have a severe malaria problem, and in
November 2011, Wandifa and Yankuba had taken a previous batch of
32 nets for the two communities. So they have had 128 nets
during the 2011-12 season, 76 nets during the 2010-11 season and
100 nets during the 2009-10 season. The photos show some of the happy recipients of the nets after they were
distributed in
April 2012 - in Jarreng by Yankuba and the girls, and in Kanikunda by
Wandifa. |
